Welcome...

1/5/2011

The Founder of our organization is experiencing some very serious health issues.  We are a very small organization and this is causing a major back log in processing requests for penpals.  Right now, it is taking 4 - 6 months for us to process requests.  Please bear with us as we are ALL volunteers and this is a FREE service.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

TEXAS PENPAL NETWORK STAFF

This site was created to connect Christian people with other Christians in prison.  THIS IS A COMPLETELY FREE SITE!!! We do not do this to make a profit and run soley on donations.

This site is purely for helping others in need of a Christian friend while serving their time in prison.

GOALS OF TEXAS PEN PAL NETWORK:

1. We are a Chrisitian organization created to give support & friendship to other Chrisitians in prison.

2. We are here to help others not profit off of them.  It does cost money to run this site and our mailings but we do welcome donations.

3. We are not here to be a romance/love network.  Every pen pal that is posted on this site is ONLY interested in developing a friendship with other Chrisitians for their spiritual well being and growth.

4. We are all Children of God --- We will never use the words PRISONER or INMATE, these are words that are meant to belittle each person.  No matter what a person has done if they have asked God for forgiveness and accept Christ as their savior --- They are Chrisitan and one of God's Children.

5. We are still small and growing, please bear with us and have patience as we move through our growing pains.

WHY START ANOTHER PEN PAL SITE?

We are based in Texas and work only with individuals in the TEXAS prison system.  Why?  The founder of the site was looking to help others and felt called to writing individuals in prison.  Many sites were available but most were looking for love or romance connections, and this was not the connections she had in mind.

Finally, she had found a Christian pen pal site but her pen pals were from Florida where their site administrators operate their prison ministry.  She saw a need for more help in Texas and decided to start a site based on Christians helping other Christians.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.”

(2 Corinthians 5:17)

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

(Matthew 5:16)

“AND WHENEVER YOU STAND PRAYING, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that you Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
